The last person I tried to help do this couldn't find the java options and wanted to go delete all the other variables, including PATH, COMSPEC, TEMP, and WINDIR, all of which your computer needs to run.ĮDIT: Also are you running mods or anything? 8GB ram seems like a lot, I run vanilla at 1.5G and mods and 2-2.5G.We've just released version 3.4.20.0 of the launcher which includes beta support for ARM based devices as well as preparations for translations and multilanguage support. Sorry if it seems like I am baby-stepping you through this, it is because you can easily break your system by editing the wrong variables. If this does not fix it, then you may have (somehow) gotten _JAVA_OPTIONS as a system variable, which is not hard to fix.
Restart minecraft and the launcher if they are open, and then everything should work! Press "OK" in the edit, then press "OK" in the variables window, then press "OK" in the system properties window. There may only be "-Xmx512M", in which case just empty all the text in the field. In the field labeled "Variable value", search through and remove any java options specifying memory settings (-Xmx or -Xms). Hello! To anyone with the same problem as me, I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION! I would download the mod pack and then press play and the launcher would basically blink.
